Anna Lo for Europe

The Alliance Party has selected Anna Lo to be its candidate in the European election, as reported by the BBC.

Northern Ireland voters will elect three members of the European parliament (MEPs) on 22 May.

Ms Lo said a vote for her would "send a pro-European, pro-environment and pro-shared future message to Europe".

"Northern Ireland needs to present an open, modern, progressive and outward-looking face to Europe and the rest of the world," said the South Belfast MLA.

"Northern Ireland already benefits enormously from the European Union, but with three Eurosceptic MEPs, we aren't living up to our full potential.

"I want to use the European Union to help grow our economy and achieve a shared future."

Chinese Lib Dems are delighted that Anna has been selected to stand in the coming Euro elections and wish her the best of luck!
