You may think it should be easy not to have problems in life, but suppose you or your family, for whatever reason, fall into difficulties, and you know that legal advice is essential to fight an injustice, but you cannot afford it.
Imagine also others, whose lives are degraded and made miserable, but they cannot see a way out because they have no access to legal guidance.
Free legal advice, available from advice centres, is vital to help the homeless, housebound elderly, victims of domestic violence and people trafficking, and many more. The London Legal Support Trust provides funding to support these centres.
Their annual London Legal Walk is the largest fundraising event in the legal calendar, and I will be joining fellow members, colleagues and judges of the London Central Employment Tribunal on the 10 km walk on 22 May.
