The Chinese Liberal Democrats are keen to use their unique position to help facilitate closer links and better understanding between the UK and China and other countries in South East Asia.

"With members and supporters connected to the business and professional communities, we can help to identify opportunies for inward investment into the UK, new export markets and help to create more jobs in the UK" said Merlene Emerson, a former City solicitor and co-founder of Chinese Liberal Democrats.

"Here in the UK we have an established legal system, a very competitive financial environment and English as the universal business language" added Philip Ling, Chair of Chinese Liberal Democrats, himself a management consultant. "With growing numbers of Chinese and other Asian companies setting up their operations in the UK, they are often in need of local partners as well as professional support."

This event was by invitation only and has been fully subscribed. There will be another networking reception scheduled for 4th July with Business Secretary Dr Vince Cable MP. Bookings are open by application to info@chineselibdems.org.uk
