EU-China Year of Youth participation

At the end of February past CLD member Allan Siao Ming Witherick took part in an international delegation to China for the Opening Ceremony of the EU-China Year of Youth in Beijing.

This was an opportunity to hear more about the relations between Europe and China and how young people can work together towards a positive future. It wasn't without it's awkward moments though due to concerns expressed by some over issues such as Human Rights and democracy.

Allan said "With the Chinese Liberal Democrats we know how invaluable the relationship is with China, be it at an economic global level, or the residents we already represent. We welcome the efforts to bring our diverse communities together in common understanding."
