Job Vacancy - CLD Internship on offer

CLD is looking for an intern to join us for up to 3 months based at Lib Dem HQ at Great George Street from Jan- March 2013. There will also be opportunity to shadow CLD councillors and Parliamentary candidates.

The internship would suit a student or graduate seeking to learn more about the inner workings of a major political party. He or she should also be interested in supporting the mission of the organisation to act as a bridge between the Liberal Democrats and the Chinese community in the UK.

Duties would include:-

- working with the CLD executive team in helping with recruitment, outreach, and fundraising;

- research on relevant policies and execution of campaigns;

- general support on projects such as hosting an event or participation at a Conference.

We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic, hardworking and have an interest in politics. Skills required include computer literacy as well as good written and oral communication skills (bilingual in Chinese and English). Hours are flexible and negotiable (2-3 days a week). Intern may also work from home.

Travel expenses and lunch would be covered for normal days of working or when in attendance at Conference or at an event.
