On 3rd June, over 50 guests and friends of Chinese Liberal Democrats gathered at the House of Lords to meet with Jo Swinson MP, Minister in the Department of Business Innovation and Skills and Lord Tim Clement-Jones, Deputy Chair of the All Party Parliamentary China Group.

CLD facilitates East-West Business Networks

On 3 June, Chinese Liberal Democrats will be hosting the first of a series of "East-West Business Networking" events at the House of Lords. Key note speakers for the reception include Jo Swinson (Minister at BIS) and Lord Tim Clement-Jones (Deputy Chair of the All Party Parliamentary China Group) who will speak on Government and Liberal Democrat policies and incentives for promoting bilateral ties, trade and investment.

Chinese LibDem Alex Payton contesting byelection in Newbury

Liberal Democrat members living in Newbury, including the new Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Judith Bunting, have picked two local men who know their law as candidates for the Victoria Ward Newbury Town Council by-elections. Ruwan Uduwerage and Alex Payton are two local community champions who have dedicated themselves to public service and the rule of law.
