Chinese Liberal Democrats held their Lunar New Year banquet on 16 Feb at the glittering China Boulevard by the river to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit. Guests included Liberal Democrat members across the boroughs as well as supporters from Think London, the Chinese Embassy and the UK China Culture Association.
Thursday 3 February was the first day of the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit. Jonathan Bartley representing Fairer Votes, Neil Lawson of Compass, Simon Woolley of OBV, Jonathan Fryer and I came together to hold a press conference in Chinatown. Joined across the parties, we wished the community a "Happy New Year" and presented the case for AV.

This year's new year honours' list has been one of the most diverse and fully reflects the variety and make-up of the population. Of the people honoured for making a real impact in their community or industry include five members from the British Chinese community:
Nikki Li of Citizens UK was the guest speaker at the CLD AGM held on 7 Dec at Camden Townhall, sharing about the work of her organisation. These include fighting for the livelihoods of those working in the Chinese catering industry, campaigning for Strangers into Citizens and protesting against more gambling licences being granted in Chinatown,
